L-Citrulline Powder

Supports Healthy Nitric Oxide Levels in the Body*

$24.99

Size

Healthy Origins® American-Made L-Citrulline supplies an amino acid that is a precursor to L-Arginine production in the body. Since L-Citrulline helps to boost L-Arginine levels, it is a great choice for athletes looking to optimize their athletic performance during high intensity workouts.*

L-Citrulline also serves as an important intermediate in the urea cycle. The urea cycle converts bodily ammonia into urea which is easily excreted by the body. Since excess ammonia can be very detrimental for the body, maintaining the proper level of L-Citrulline is very important.*

Consider taking Healthy Origins® L-Citrulline along with Healthy Origins® L-Arginine for enhanced athletic and cardiovascular support.*

Not only manufactured in the USA but sourced from the USA

Many other companies source from overseas (China) but they do not. I contacted the company to verify where the raw product is sourced from. They said "L-Arginine and L-Citrulline raw material is processed in the United States. The starting raw material for L-Citrulline and L-Arginine fermentation is glucose from corn syrup. The corn is harvested in the U.S.A." Really appreciate their transparency and I think they have a more trustworthy and better value product.

No taste

Takes a little while to dissolve in water but virtually no taste and good quality.

Citrulline

Scoop may be at the bottom of the container, so you may need a long handled fork or such to find it. The product did not have much of a taste initially, but does have a somewhat unpleasant after taste though not enough to discourage it's use if I find it beneficial. Today is the first day I've used it; if I remember I'll update this review with more information later.

No weird aftertaste

The powder on the left is Healthy Origins and the right is another brand. I keep coming back to Healthy Origins citrulline powder because it has absolutely no flavor. There is no weird aftertaste compared to other brands I have experimented with.

Tested with a NO indicator strip....

When this powder is mixed with water it is completely colorless and tasteless. The powder mostly dissolved but there was a little residue left over (see photo). The fact that it is colorless and tasteless means it can be combined into any drink. To test the effects on Nitric Oxide production I used NO indicator strips to test before and a couple of hours after drinking it. The indicator strips originally indicated "Low" and were in the "Optimal" range after using this mix. I sometimes find with a NO supplement it may take a couple of days to notice a difference. If you decide to try it, give it 2-3 days to try it out.
