Easy to take

I take NAC supplements for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. While I get these nutrients from the food I eat it is good to have help from the supplement.Since supplements are not regulated by the FDA, I am very careful in selecting ones that I will put in my body. The following are most important criteria:1. Supplement made up of ingredients known by reputable organizations for good health- YES2. Produced in a third party certified facility such as GMP, NSF and/or FDA- YES3. Manufactured in the US- YES4. Tested by a third-party independent lab- YES5. Provided by an established company that has a product track record- YES Healthy Origins is an established company and has several highly rated supplements. This should be a high quality product.

Very solid staple when drinking

Great value for money on a rather basic but important supplement if you're wanting to protect your liver from damage. I started taking NAC after any night of drinking, even if it is just one drink. And ever since then I've felt a lot better the morning after. Age had been catching up to me when it comes to drinking - but not anymore - I feel like I shaved 10-15 years off my age just by taking 1000mg of NAC when drinking. If it's a big night I will actually take 1 pill before and 2 pills after so that my body can start helping my liver immediately and then have plenty of extra liver boosting power after as well. These pills are easy to swallow, don't cause any issues of any sort, and they're cost effective. All wins.

Extremely strong sulphur smell

I'm not sure about this one, to be honest. I took a bottle of a different brand of NAC that came in capsules. I really liked it, and I hoped it was having some positive effect, though it was impossible to tell. When I opened this, I was hit with a very strong sulphur smell. As in, extremely strong. It lingers in the room even after you close the bottle. I looked it up and this is apparently normal. So then I was thinking maybe that's a good thing. Does that mean you have good, strong, fresh supplements? Maybe something was wrong with my capsules. These are tablets, of course, so different from capsules. The capsules could contain the smell. Now I wish I had opened one up. In any case, I've been hesitant to take these, but finally I did, taking one in the morning on an empty stomach. It wasn't bad swallowing it, and I didn't experience any negative side effects. I had a few burps, but they didn't taste like sulphur. So probably I am good to go with these, and probably they are nice and strong and fresh. However, if you odor averse, these probably aren't for you.

Good Quality Supplement

This seems to be a good quality NAC supplement. I find that my energy levels are better when taking it. In the past, I tended to just use glutathione supplements, but I think NAC might work a little better for me. Overall, it seems to be a good quality product and a good value for the money. I am happy with this supplement.

Smells like NAC

I can always judge if a NAC supplement is legit by the smell. It has a sulphuric scent, kind of like rotten eggs. This one definitely has it. I like that this is third party tested, but it doesn’t actually say that it’s made in the USA. It says it’s “distributed by” the brand. It does have several additional ingredients listed under “ other ingredients “. The capsules taste like NAC, I usually take with coffee to disguise it a bit. I like to take NAC daily for lung health and immunity purposes. This price point is comparable to others making it seem to be a fair value.
